You could but I wouldn't recommend it. 3 servings of CR = 960mg of sodium compared to 1 serving of 333 = 440mg of sodium. Each product has been formulated for it's specific purpose. If you like to eat real food during your training and racing, go with the CR, if you don't want to mess around with food, go with the 333. If you have very specific needs you can mix the two products to achieve your optimal amount of calories and electrolytes. They taste great together!

Calories. Well, mostly calories. Original CR has 108 calories per serving and works great for shorter races and training or if you like to eat food while training and racing for multiple hours. If you don't want to mess around with supplementing calories from other sources on your long races and training, go with 333. It has, you guessed it, 333 calories per serving. Feel free to to mix it up weaker or stronger depending on your caloric needs. It was designed to be the only source of calories you need for mulitple hours of racing and training, no need to supplement with other sources.

This is the #1 question I get about CarboRocket and 333. The main reason is that protein can be difficult to digest and causes gastro-intestinal issues with most people when consumed during training and racing. It can also be hard to choke down and you won't hydrate properly if you can't drink something during a race especially if it's hot out. Save the protein drink for afterwards, might I suggest our recovery drink, Rehab.  Adding protein to your sports drink is based on old, de-bunked research. That being said, CarboRocket contains 1,000 mg of the amino acid L-Glutamine per serving which is one of the most important components of protein and one of the main reasons you would want protein in a sports drink to begin with. 333 then adds 3000 mg BCAA's and additional L-Glutamine per serving providing you with the benefits of protein without the drawbacks.

The latest research indicates that a 2:1 ratio of Maltodextrin to Fructose provides the most sustained energy during extended periods of exercise as each carbohydrate source is processed through a different pathway in your gut. Because of this, your body can process more calories per hour without GI distress from this combination of carbohydrates than from a stand alone carbohydrate source. No other carbohydrate source or combination of sources provides longer lasting fuel for your endeavors

 With original CR I like to use 1 scoop in a small (20 oz.) water bottle or 1-1.5 scoops in a large (24 oz.) water bottle. I aim to drink 20-28oz of water per hour of exercise depending on heat and intensity. Sometimes I'll drink 8-12oz an hour before a race as well to make sure my body is hydrated and has the electrolytes and minerals necessary to keep from bonking and cramping.  333 was formulated to mix 333 calories in 24-30 oz of water. Each scoop of 333 = 111 and I recommend starting with 2 scoops (222 cal) per 20-24oz of water and adjusting from there. Many athletes use 1, 2, 2.5, 3 or even 4 scoops depending on their caloric needs. Be careful if you go over 3 scoops as you would need to take in additional water to keep the osmolality in the optimal range.

Yes! Many anthletes do this the night before a long hot day, just make sure to leave some expansion room in your water bottles.

All products will last for 3-4 days if refrigerated. If not refrigerated, it all depends on the heat. Even in hot weather they will be good for 24 hrs (with the exception of Rehab, which should be consumed immediately or refrigerated). Beyond that I suggest the "sniff test". If it smells weird, throw it out!  The natural flavors we use dissipate quickly once mixed, the flavor only lasts for a few hours but they are still fine to drink.

If you happen to have a bag that is older than that it's still OK to use but the natural fruit flavors dissipate over time so the older it is the less flavor it will have.

The effect of Rocket Red lasts 2-3 hours so if you have an extra long event it's prefectly safe to use every 2-3 hours. You may notice the color red when going to the bathroom if you're taking multiple servings per day. No need to be alarmed!
